Daphne Fairbanks, BA, E-RYT 200, RYT 500, C-IAYT

Daphne began sharing yoga after many years working in a variety of health, education, and social service settings. She practiced midwifery for 15 years in SW Michigan, worked in countywide health & welfare programs and recently retired from a role in higher education.  She is thrilled to be back to providing supportive, educational wellness care for individuals and small groups..  Her training and experience is specifically suited for healthy aging with yoga.

Facing a stressful life phase, Daphne turned to yoga to manage her own work-life imbalance. Spending more time on the mat led her into a 200 hour teacher training and she has been studying and sharing yoga ever since.  Daphne guides people with a focus on self awareness, alignment, and healthy aging with yoga.

Mindful that there is a vast ocean of knowledge within all the limbs of yoga, Daphne continues to be a student of Yoga & Ayurveda. She has recently studied Restorative Yoga with Judith Hansen Lasater & Lizzie Lasater and Ayurveda with Indu Arora. She completed the Yoga for Seniors program @ Duke Integrative Medicine and is a certified  Essential Low Back Program instructor.
